At the conference, Nancy presented her cancer research project titled, “Targeting Wnt signaling pathway using curcumin in metastatic breast cancer cell lines” under the guidance of Dr. Anitha Shenoy, Assistant Professor of Pharmacology at the CHSU College of Pharmacy. This work was also a collaborative effort between CHSU faculty members, Drs. Patty Havard and Vinayak Shenoy.
I truly enjoyed meeting other researchers and health care professionals from all over the world that are passionate about cancer research. It was really interesting attending CE sessions led by physicians or researchers that shared their clinical pearls from their cancer research.” said Nancy. She continues, “I especially enjoyed attending the sessions about clinical trials in progress and learning about the new pipeline treatments for cancer. Overall, I had a great experience presenting the AACR poster with Dr. Anitha Shenoy, and it was interesting hearing the insight and questions from the different scientists visiting our poster.”
