California Health Sciences University is pleased to announce Anitha Shenoy, PhD; our Assistant Professor of Pharmacology, has had a research article, titled ‘Epithelial-to-Pericyte Transition in Cancer,’ published in ‘Cancers’ Journal.
The article primarily discusses the epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and epithelial-to-pericyte transition (EPT) and the ways in which they interact to potentially cause therapy resistance in cancer patients. Dr. Shenoy coauthored this article with Dr. Jianrong Lu from the College of Medicine at the University of Florida, Gainesville.
Dr. Shenoy currently teaches Pharmacology IV and Principles of Drug Action I at CHSU. She earned her Masters of Science degree in Medical Biochemistry from Kasturba Medical College at Manipal University in India. She also has a Ph.D in Molecular Cell Biology from the College of Medicine at the University of Florida.
Her areas of expertise include molecular biology and cancer biology. Dr. Shenoy serves as an associate member of American Association of Cancer Research (AACR) and member of Women in Cancer Research (WICR).
