CHSU College of Pharmacy and MSBS Program Class of 2024 Grad Stories

The California Health Sciences University College of Pharmacy and Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences program will celebrate the Class of 2024 graduation on May 18, 2024. As a part of the celebration, we put together our CHSU Grad Story Series, where you will hear from CHSU students and their experiences.
Hannah Streiff, CHSU MSBS Inaugural Class of 2024
Hannah Streiff is a local of the Central Valley. She attended California State University of Bakersfield, where she majored in Biology and Chemistry. Since then, she has become a valued member of the CHSU community and has graduated at the top of her class in CHSU’s inaugural Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences program. She received the prestigious CHSU Outstanding Graduate award and graduated with high honors.
Despite commuting daily from Bakersfield, she has upheld an impressive GPA, assumed the role of President of her class of 2024, and is now preparing to embark on her journey at CHSU’s Medical School.
Oluwabomi Adekoya, CHSU MSBS Program Inaugural Class of 2024
Oluwabomi “Bomi” Adekoya is originally from Texas and she came to California to pursue her Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences degree from CHSU as part of the Inaugural Class of 2024. She exceled in the challenging program and grew significantly along the way. She received the prestigious CHSU MSBS Excellence Award and graduated with high honors. She plans to attend medical school to become a physician.
Kate Nhu Duong, CHSU MSBS Program Inaugural Class of 2024
Kate Nhu Duong immigrated to the United States when she was young with dreams of pursuing a career in health or science. She has now graduated with high honors from the CHSU Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences Program in the Inaugural Class of 2024. She received the prestigious CHSU MSBS Excellence Award. She plans on attending the CHSU College of Osteopathic Medicine to become a physician.
Roxanne Zuniga, PharmD, CHSU College of Pharmacy Class of 2024
Dr. Roxanne Zuniga had worked in the pharmacy field as a pharmacy technician before pursuing her Doctor of Pharmacy degree. She was very active in student organizations, leadership, and represented CHSU well, while still taking care of her children and working. She was selected as her class speaker at the College of Pharmacy Graduation Ceremony and was recipient of the CHSU Value Award for Diversity for her commitment to helping our local community.
