CHSU Faculty Members Host Presentations at the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Interim Meeting

Dr. Jeremy Hughes and Dr. David Fuentes recently provided presentations at the recent AACP Interim Meeting 2018 in Long Beach, CA. Dr. Delwar Hussain was also in attendance at the meeting. Dr. Hughes provided a presentation on CHSU’s Prospero program that was titled “Bridging Horizons: A Program to Support Latino and Bilingual Students to Enter the Pharmacy Profession”. Dr. Fuentes provided a presentation on “Applying Strengths-Based Approaches to Organizational Health” as part of the Inspirational Leadership Sessions and he also led a collaborative session on the topic of “Disrupting Education for the Future” with colleagues from other programs.
AACP Interim hosts sessions that focus on academic leadership, and is committed to engaging discussion such as faculty development, workload, accreditation, student admissions, teaching effectiveness, curricular development, assessment, and strategic planning, among other topics.
Dr. Christopher Foley and Dr. Jeremy Hughes presented a webinar on February 22nd for the Student Services Special Interest Group of AACP. The webinar was titled “Co-Curricular Transcripts, Student Portfolios, and Programmatic Documentation of Co-Curricular Activities.”
