CHSU Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, Wendy Duncan, PhD is Appointed Pharmacy Academy Vice Chair for National Academies of Practice (NAP)

California Health Sciences University is pleased to announce that Wendy Duncan, PhD has been inducted as the Pharmacy Academy Vice Chair for National Academies of Practice (NAP) Council at the 2017 Annual Meeting and Forum which was held on March 17-18 in Philadelphia, PA.
NAP is a non-profit organization founded in 1981 to advise governmental bodies on our healthcare system. Distinguished practitioners and scholars are elected by their peers from fourteen different health professions to join the only interprofessional group of health care practitioners and scholars dedicated to supporting affordable, accessible, coordinated quality health care for all.
The fourteen interdisciplinary academies of NAP include:

  • Audiology
  • Dentistry
  • Medicine
  • Nursing
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Optometry
  • Osteopathic Medicine
  • Pharmacy
  • Physical Therapy
  • Podiatric Medicine
  • Psychology
  • Social Work

As a member of the NAP Council, Dr. Duncan along with other Council members and the Executive Committee will guide the strategic direction of the association with the mission of advancing interprofessional health care, by fostering collaboration and advocating policies in the best interest of individuals and communities.
