CHSU’s Campus Goes Red to Raise Awareness for Heart Disease

February 1, 2018

Friday, February 2, 2018 is American Heart Association’s National Wear Red Day which is held to raise awareness of heart disease, particularly in women.
Cardiovascular disease in the U.S. kills approximately one woman every 80 seconds. With these staggering numbers in mind, American Heart Association (AHA) created a call to action for women to take charge of their heart health. Go Red for Women advocates for more research and educational programs to increase women’s awareness and to prevent these cardiac events from happening in the future.
We are encouraging all of our students, faculty, and staff (all genders!) on campus to show their support by participating in National Wear Red Day. Please join us as we wear red THIS FRIDAY and help bring awareness to this cause.
