CHSU Celebrates Fall with Campus Festivities and Community Outreach
November 4, 2026
CHSU welcomed the fall season with activities that brought students together across the campus. At the College of Osteopathic Medicine, students enjoyed a Halloween carnival, while the MSBS campus hosted a fall-themed painting event complete with a trail mix bar. Students at both colleges joined in the fun by dressing up in costumes and showing their seasonal spirit.

Student organizations also carried the fall spirit into the community through service and outreach. Valley Reach hosted a blood drive, offering campus members an opportunity to support a community health effort.
The Overdose Prevention Collaborative (OPC) connected with the community at Fresno State’s Phantom Fest, while the Pediatric Interest Group partnered with Bright Beginnings Learning Center to collect diapers for families experiencing diaper insecurity and volunteered at Stone Soup Fresno’s Trunk-or-Treat to share Halloween safety tips with children.

Rounding out the season’s community service efforts, MSBS students volunteered at a local food bank during the program’s Day of Service, preparing bags of bell peppers for community members in need.

Together, these activities gave students meaningful ways to connect with local organizations and serve Central Valley families. Their efforts reflect CHSU’s mission to improve health care outcomes in the region through compassionate service and collaboration.
