CHSU College of Pharmacy Makes an Impact at the AACP Annual Meeting

pharm education 2019Many CHSU College of Pharmacy faculty members and students were in attendance at the American Association of College of Pharmacy (AACP) Annual Meeting in Chicago, Illinois on July 12-17, 2019.
Below are the faculty members and students that represented CHSU and presented a total of nine podium presentations and ten academic posters in collaboration with other pharmacy and university level programs.

Interprofessional Education through a prescriber-led APPE – Dr. Will Ofstad et al.

Association of holistic student admissions criteria and academic failure at a team-based learning institution – Dr. Allen Keshishian, et al.
Describing an admissions session model and activity that sets a psychological contract – Dr. David Fuentes, et al.
Using signature projects, co-curricular transcripts, and reflective journal writing to track progress to programmatic outcomes – Dr. Jeremy Hughes, et al.

Ahmd Azab and Farid Khalafalla served as the CHSU administrative and faculty delegates at the AACP House of Delegates meetings.  Dr. Jeremy Hughes also was recognized for completing his term as Chair of the AACP Student Services SIG and will now start his term as Immediate Past Chair.
Drs. Sree Pattipati, Chandra Kolli, and Yousef Lafi were recognized by AACP as Teachers of the Year. Dr. David Fuentes also received recognition for completing his first year as Editorial Board Member for AJPE.
CHSU is proud of our COP faculty members and students’ collaborative work and look forward to showcasing more of their contributions in 2020.
