CHSU Hosts Sip And Swing Golf Social Fundraiser

October 19, 2026

CHSU welcomed local physicians, community members and staff to Fairway Lounge for its Sip & Swing Golf Fundraiser in support of the CHSU Student Scholarship Fund. Guests enjoyed appetizers, took part in a silent auction and competed in golf simulator games, all while helping support students preparing to serve communities across the Central Valley.

President Flo Dunn opened up the evening by thanking attendees for coming together in support of CHSU students. Flo also recognized the university’s milestone of welcoming its 1,000th student and shared how events like Sip & Swing help invest in the next generation of physicians. Proceeds from the fundraiser will support student scholarships and help future physicians pursue their education and training in the Central Valley.

The program also featured CHSU student Brandon Khalil, co-president of the Sports Medicine Club, who shared how a personal health scare inspired him to pursue medicine in the Central Valley and sparked his interest in sports medicine. His remarks gave guests a glimpse into one of the many student stories at CHSU and the personal experiences that shape students’ paths to medicine.
