First Day of Class at CHSU College of Pharmacy
August 25, 2015
On August 24, 2015, California Health Sciences University College of Pharmacy enjoyed another milestone, welcoming the second class of pharmacy students – the class of 2019 – and the first returning P2 students – the class of 2018 – when classes began for the fall 2015-16 academic year. The students and faculty were given a warm welcome in the morning with a surprise gift from long-time university supporter and friend, Mike Webber of London Properties, offering delicious cookies. P1 students were delighted with a CHSU commuter mug to enjoy their free daily coffee, tea and filtered water.
During the lunch break, the P2 students were treated to a special welcome message from President Dunn and Dr. Wendy Duncan, SVP for Academic Affairs, Provost and Interim Dean of Pharmacy, and they also learned about all of the great things the university planned for the upcoming academic year. Lunch was provided courtesy of our friends at CVS Health, who gave the students a brief update about the wonderful opportunities available at CVS Health and provided great feedback about the IPPE I experiences this past summer with CHSU students.
Congratulations to all CHSU Doctor of Pharmacy students on beginning the 2015-16 academic year! We look forward to another great year of making history and working towards our mission of Transforming Pharmacy into a Primary Care Profession.
