First Scholarships Awarded at CHSU College of Pharmacy

April 24, 2014

Paying tuition just got a little easier for several students attending pharmacy school at the new CHSU College of Pharmacy this fall.

The university announced Thursday that many of the students that applied for the California Health Sciences University Scholarship were awarded between $2,500 and $10,000 towards their fall 2014 tuition. The private scholarship offered by the Fresno Regional Foundation is open to students who have been offered admission to the CHSU College of Pharmacy on a first come, first served basis. The scholarship committee that oversees the private scholarship fund will continue to meet regularly to review applications and offer scholarship awards to students based on merit and/or financial need until they have exhausted their $250,000 in scholarship funds for the 2014/2015 academic year.

Accepted students have until June 1, 2014 to submit their California Health Sciences University Scholarship fund applications, but they are encouraged to submit applications as soon as possible since the funds allotted for the upcoming year may be exhausted before June 1.

Questions regarding the scholarship application process may be directed to Mr. Kevin Hoover, Director of Financial Aid/Registrar at khoover@chsu.edu or 559-325-3600.
