Scholarship Gala

The annual Ignite the Future Scholarship Gala is hosted by California Health Sciences University (CHSU). This elegant event is an opportunity for the community to help CHSU students reduce the cost of medical education through the CHSU Scholarship Fund. CHSU graduates will help alleviate the Central Valley’s health care provider shortage by training and retaining our next generations of clinicians.

From inside local hospitals, clinics, private practices, and pharmacies, CHSU graduates and future physicians from the College of Osteopathic Medicine and College of Biosciences and Health Professions are the future of our primary care. Many CHSU students come from local areas and are a reflection of the Central Valley’s great diversity. The majority are “home grown” with deep roots and have a passion to elevate the health of our region – their home.

Many are first in their family to obtain a college degree and without the existence of CHSU or the financial assistance from the scholarship fund, a significant number would not have the opportunity to obtain professional degrees in health care.
