‘RSVP for Research’ Fundraising Event Held at CHSU Campus
March 17, 2017
California Health Sciences University hosted a fundraising event ‘RSVP for Research,’ for the American Cancer Society on March 23, 2017. The event was designed to highlight recent success stories in the field of cancer research, raise awareness about the benefits and the need to fund research.
Dr. Anitha Shenoy, Assistant Professor of Pharmacology in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences at CHSU, helped to organize the event and served as the opening speaker. ACS funded researchers Dr. Paul Mills (UCSF, Fresno) and Dr. Jason Bush (California State University, Fresno) enlightened the attendees with the kind of cancer research that is carried out in the valley (including cancer research at CHSU) and the crucial need for funding such work.
