At the conference, Carrie presented her poster display titled, “The impact of students’ behavioral skills following participation of community and civic engagement services in Fresno County.” The abstract discussed the impact of CHSU’s Community Engagement Day, where students, faculty, and staff engaged in voluntary service around the local area.
The co-authors of the abstract were Nancy Ma, pharmacy student; Richele Kleiser, VP of Marketing and Communications at CHSU; and Drs. Luma Munjy and Nicole Nielsen. Drs. Patty Havard, Stanley Snowden, and Bethanne Carpenter were also editors of the abstract.
“I am so thankful for the experience to attend this conference and the opportunity to work with such great individuals,” said Carrie. “I am truly grateful for all of their support and they have all inspired me to continue my research efforts.”
