Orientation begins for CHSU College of Pharmacy Class of 2018

August 20, 2014

Today CHSU welcomed the College of Pharmacy inaugural class of 2018 to the first day of their three-day Orientation. During the morning welcome, the campus buzzed with excitement as the first cohort of students at California Health Sciences University were assigned to their first TBL group, got to know each other with some ice breakers, took photos for their ID badges, received their parking permits and were then sized for their white coat. We captured this important moment in the history of CHSU with a group photo in front of the Clovis campus building.

Then President Dunn and Dean Hawkins began the program with an official welcome. News anchor, Dale Yurong from ABC30 Action News arrived to tour the campus, speak to students and Dean Hawkins so he could share the excitement of the inaugural class with the community. The administration, faculty and staff joined the students for lunch, which was generously provided by local company, Deli Delicious.

After lunch, the students had several very informative sessions to better acquaint them with the university policies and procedures and even received important information about the surrounding community. Students can look forward to two more information-packed days of orientation before the start of class on August 25.
